Carl Hattingh is a clinical psychologist with more than 25 years experience working in clinical settings.

He is the director of the Milton H Erickson Institute, which provides training internationally for mental health and medical professionals in the fields of clinical hypnosis and ego state therapy. 

He is a registered somatic experiencing practitioner and has extensive experience working with trauma and trauma-related conditions. He is trained in eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing, eye-movement integration and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Carl’s therapeutic approach is respectful and accepting. He enjoys working creatively with the unique resources of clients to develop individualised solutions. Children, adolescents, adults, couples and families are welcome.

In his free time you’ll find him with his children on the trampoline or catching a wave.

Carl Hattingh practises at our Lindfield location. He is available for appointments on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
