Michaela Levas
Registered psychotherapist

Michaela Levas is a PACFA- and ACA-registered psychotherapist and counsellor with a Master of Psychotherapy and Counselling from Western Sydney University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of New South Wales.

Michaela is certified as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor and an RAP-A (Resourceful Adolescent Program for Adolescents) Facilitator, an evidence-based school program designed to promote resilience and well-being in adolescents.

She is also currently completing a postgraduate clinical hypnosis training program and a postgraduate ego state therapy (EST) training program with the Australian Institute of Clinical Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (AICHP), under the supervision of clinical psychologist and director of the Milton H Erickson Institute, Carl Hattingh.

Michaela focuses on facilitating a warm, safe and supportive environment, and developing meaningful connections with her clients. 

Her experience spans working with children, adolescents and adults, with a range of presentations including anxiety, panic, depression, phobias, social anxiety disorder, school refusal, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, ADHD, ASD, OCD, complex and single event PTSD, attachment trauma, interpersonal relationship challenges, adjustment and life transition Difficulties.

Michaela works under the supervision of our clinical director Michael MacDonald, providing therapy from a range of therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, strengths-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, exposure and response prevention therapy, somatic psychotherapy, schema therapy, ego state therapy and clinical hypnosis.

Michaela is available for face-to-face and telehealth appointments at our Lindfield location on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and fortnightly Fridays.
