Amelia Zaknic
Provisional psychologist
Amelia Zaknic is a provisional psychologist holding a Master of Professional Psychology from The University of Notre Dame, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology (Advanced) from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Psychology from Macquarie University.
Amelia is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering therapeutic space where clients feel encouraged to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours. She is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and is dedicated to fostering meaningful change, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth.
Amelia has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a broad range of presentations, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), perfectionism, low self-esteem, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and interpersonal difficulties. Amelia has also worked as a psychological rehabilitation consultant, conducting comprehensive assessments for individuals impacted by work-related
psychological injuries.
Amelia currently practices under the supervision of Clinical Director Michael MacDonald. She draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based frameworks.
