Sophie Parkes
Clinical Psychologist

Sophie is a Clinical Psychologist who offers compassionate, relational, and evidence‑based support to adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. She works with individuals experiencing complex trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, and the challenges that can accompany co‑occurring autism and ADHD. Sophie is committed to creating a therapeutic space grounded in safety, trust, autonomy, and respect, where clients feel understood and supported in working toward meaningful change.

Sophie takes a holistic and formulation‑driven approach, helping clients understand the function behind their current coping styles and develop strategies that align more closely with their values and preferred way of living. She integrates parent involvement when working with adolescents to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to treatment, and she collaborates with schools to support learning plans, academic stress, and key transitions such as starting high school, completing Year 12, or beginning university.

Her experience includes private practice, working as a psychologist in a secondary school, and delivering group therapy programs for individuals experiencing binge eating disorder and obesity. She works with adolescents and adults with eating disorders who are medically stable or engaged in regular medical monitoring with their GP. While she does not provide formal diagnostic assessments for autism or ADHD, she supports individuals and parents to better understand neurodivergent presentations and tailors treatment to meet their needs.
